We all know that it is through movement that the foundations of learning are laid. One revelation for me was the importance of movement as we age. There was plenty of time for networking, exchanging ideas & developing friendships over sumptuous, healthy meals, and the exchanges have continued electronically since. Each has their own individual style and focus and all are making an impact in their own areas. It was great to hear from each of our practitioners.

We all came home with our heads full of stimulating information and much to process theВ overwhelming consensus beingВ for another Move to Learn conference next year! Julia Dive extended our knowledge of benefits of rolling and Veronica Steer led us in a workshop exploring the potential of the Move to Learn program to address some of the issues of aging.

Lisa Maltman, from The Sleep Connection, explained the impact that sleeping disorders can have on learning. Jenny Cluning delved into the importance of coordination, balance and postural control in support of higher level functioning including cognition.Д®vonne Bennell shared about experiential retained reflex learning.Д¬lare Crew gave us some great tips for working with teachers and in classrooms.Д«erri, from Evian Eye Care, gave a comprehensive and practical introduction to the role of Behavioural Optometry in treating learning difficulties. We had a fabulous time at our conference!Дr Marilyn Dyson spoke about the medical management of neuro developmental and learning delays and the importance of gut function for learning.
